Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pawse app ("the app", "we", "us"), operated by Codexia. By downloading or using Pawse, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Pawse is a productivity and wellness tool that helps you reduce time spent on distracting apps. Using Apple's Screen Time frameworks, it blocks the apps you choose and asks you to complete a short physical exercise — counted by your device's camera through on-device pose detection — to earn screen time and unlock those apps. Pawse is intended to support healthier phone habits; it does not guarantee any particular outcome.

2. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Pawse encourages physical movement such as squats and push-ups. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, health, or fitness advice. You are responsible for exercising safely and within your own physical limits. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program, especially if you have any medical condition, injury, or concern. Rep counting is performed automatically by software and may not be perfectly accurate; do not rely on it as a precise measure of physical activity. Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. You use the exercise features at your own risk.

3. Camera Use

Pawse uses your camera only to count your exercise reps, and all processing happens on your device. No video or images are recorded, stored, or transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for full details. You are responsible for using the camera feature in an appropriate, private setting.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pawse only for lawful, personal purposes. You may not misuse the app, attempt to interfere with its normal operation, circumvent its blocking or usage limits, or reverse engineer it except where permitted by law. Pawse is a self-help tool that you control; you remain responsible for how you configure it and for the apps you choose to block or unlock.

5. Screen Time Permissions

Pawse relies on permissions you grant, including Screen Time (Family Controls) and camera access, to function. If you revoke these permissions, some or all features will stop working. You may adjust or remove these permissions at any time in your device settings.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

• Pawse offers a subscription that unlocks the full experience, and may offer a free trial so you can try it first.
• Subscription options and prices are shown in the app before you purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription that covers the same period.

7. Intellectual Property

Pawse and all related content, design, characters (including the Pawse mascot), and software are owned by us and our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the app itself.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Pawse is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that blocking will work in every circumstance, or that rep counting will be accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any injury related to exercise, any missed access to a blocked app, or reliance on the app's features.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
